History of Internet

Here is a video of the VERY beginnings of the internet and its development, but to talk about it in details is too much.

Timberners-Lee who was working in CERN, scientific institute, in 1989 wrote the suggestion of "Information Management". His boss red his suggestion, and on one of the corners it wrote "stupid but exciting" suggestion. That is the text that had the concept for "World Wide Web" That's how the first web site ever, info.cern.ch, was made in 1990.

In January, 1993 there were 130 web sites, and in December 233 but three years later in 1996 there were ALREADY 100,000 web sites. As the web sites grew, people thought of making Internet Browsers. The first browser was Netscape. At first web sites were just some links and text. Yahoo was one of the most popular portals, and it corporated with BlackRub(now known as Google)

Blogs

First blogs were made in 1994-5 and there were mostly personal web sites, something like dairies example Opendiary.com These blogs weren't very popular back than, until in 1999 Evan Wiliams(director of Twitter ) announced the platform blogger.com witch is now property of Google. That helped people to publish details from their lives on their blog.
